Kansans Deliver 3,850 Signatures to Marshall’s Wichita Office, Senator Ignores Constituents Again

WICHITA, KS | Today at 10:00 a.m., Prairie Progress Civic Action, alongside Leading Kansas, delivered 3,850 petition signatures to Senator Roger Marshall’s Wichita office calling for a fully public town hall meeting with Kansans.

The signatures were delivered to Senator Marshall’s Wichita office, listed on his official website at 100 S. Market St., Wichita, KS. Despite requesting an appointment, organizers arrived to find the office door locked. Organizers attempted to call the office to coordinate the delivery but received no answer.

Several bystanders who work in the same office building said they had rarely, if ever, seen anyone working in the office.

The action was organized to highlight growing frustration among Kansans who say they have been unable to directly engage with Senator Marshall through a public town hall meeting. The signatures came from residents across the state, including 100 Kansas counties and 336 unique cities — representing 95% of Kansas counties and 54% of all cities statewide.

It has now been over a year since Senator Roger Marshall has held a fully public town hall open to all Kansans.

Prairie Progress Civic Action is continuing to call on Senator Marshall to hold an accessible, fully public town hall where constituents can ask questions directly and receive answers face-to-face.
